CALMAR, PA - The Utica College women's hockey team earned its second straight 8-0 win over Arcadia University to pick up the first UCHC sweep of the season on Saturday.
Senior Georgiana Santullo built off her four-point performance from the night before with five points this time around. Santullo recorded her second straight hat trick and added two assists in the win.
Junior Maggie Rylott netted two goals and classmate Erica Sloan netted one of her own and added two helpers. Rebecca Brown contributed one goal and one assist and Carolyn Whitney also found the back of the net once.
The Pioneers were an impressive 4-for-6 on the power play, while holding Arcadia scoreless on three chances with the man-advantage.
Senior Savannah Gutierrez made eight saves to pick up her second career shutout. Meanwhile, Sophia Szelag had 39 saves for the Knights.
Utica (2-1, 2-0 UCHC) returns home next weekend to host Kings College for a weekend set. Puck drop is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
