UTiCA, NY- Upperclassmen accounted for eight of Utica's 10 goals as the UC women's hockey team came away with a 10-1 win over Neumann University Saturday afternoon at the Adirondack Bank Center.
The Pioneers move to 16-3 on the year and 13-1 in UCHC play. Utica will travel to Lebanon valley next weekend for a series against the Dutchmen. Friday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. while Saturday's contest is set to begin at 2 p.m.
The nation's most potent offense was on full display this weekend as the Pioneers totaled 20 goals over the two games.
Junior Erica Sloan led Utica with her second hat trick of the season and a pair of assists, while senior Georgiana Santullo finished with two goals and three helpers. Graduate student Rebecca Brown extended her scoring streak to seven games as she netted two goals and added an assist.
Hailey Modlin, Carolyn Whitney, and Hannah Keating each found the back of the net once. Sophomores Angela Hawthorne and Maddie Esposito combined for 12 saves in the win, while Neumann's Michelle Winand finished with 59 saves.
