Arcadia Earns First Shutout in Program History With 5-0 Win Over King's

COLMAR, PA - The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team recorded its first shutout victory in program history as the Knights defeated King's 5-0 on Saturday night at Hatfield Ice Arena.  

Goaltender Hannah Bergeron recorded 16 saves, five different Knights found the back of the net and 10 players recorded a point in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Karahkwenhawe White opened the scoring for the Knights as she scored a highlight reel goal, weaving through the King's defense and burying the breakaway for a 1-0 lead. Campbell Torrey then scored her first career goal on the power play with less than two minutes left in the period to give the Knights a 2-0 lead.  

  • Ariel Williamson scored the lone goal of the second period as she scored an even strength goal to give Arcadia a 3-0 lead.  

  • The Knights scored two shorthanded goals in the third period as Morganne Dee and Emily Wilson both scored on the penalty kill to seal the Knights' 5-0 win.
