Nazareth Scores Six Second Period Goals and Rolls To 9-0 Win Over Neumann

ROCHESTER, NY – For the second day in a row, the Nazareth women's hockey team knocked off Neumann College 9-0 in conference action behind goals from eight different Golden Flyers. Meredith Boettcher scored twice to push her season total to 10. Rebecca Mullahy got her first career start, making six saves and earning the shutout.
 
Nazareth scored a pair of goals in the first 4:38 of the game, the first coming from Boettcher, tipping in a shot from Audrey Donahue. 
 
Just over a minute later, Corsica Skibinski notched a wrap-around goal, assisted by Ingrid Holstad. Holstad finished with a goal and two assists.
 
It was a 2-0 after a period of play. 
 
The second period was a goal barrage with a total of five coming from Nazareth. Allie Zack and Ella Cedrone each scored their sixth goals of the season early in the period. Cedrone's came on the power play.
 
A night after scoring her school record 49th career goal, Makenna Wiljanen netted her 50th from Boettcher.
 
Two more minutes passed before a span of just 38 seconds where Nikki Sharp, Holstad, and Boettcher lit the lamp. With the two goals, Boettcher now has eight goals in six games.
 
It was 8-0 heading into the final intermission.
 
Just one goal was scored in the third from freshman Maggie Jacoby, her first collegiate goal. 
 
The Golden Flyers have a big showdown on Friday, traveling to No. 10 ranked Utica for a 7 p.m. contest.
