ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth women's hockey team cruised to a 3-0 conference victory over Wilkes on Friday night, the win marking the 100th career victory for head coach Chris Baudo. Baudo, who has been at the helm at Nazareth for six seasons, has 100 wins, 24 losses, and seven ties for an impressive .790 winning percentage. Alexis Kindred, Allie Zack and Abby Flanagan scored in the game for the Golden Flyers.
Nazareth is now 6-4-1 overall and 6-0-1 in conference play, while Wilkes falls to 6-5-1 and 4-5-1, respectively.
The first goal of the game came from Kindred as Makenna Wiljanen fed the freshman for a one-time slap shot in close nearly eight minutes in.
In the second period, Zack ripped a cross-ice pass into the top shelf to push the Golden Flyers lead to 2-0 with 15 minutes to play.
Flanagan made it a 3-0 lead nearly 10 minutes later following up her own rebound. Ella Cedrone picked up an assist on the play. It proved to be the final goal of the game.
One of the more impressive stats of the contest came in the second period as Nazareth held the Colonels without a shot.
McKinley Hoff secured her first solo shutout of the year, making 15 saves.
Nazareth and Wilkes will cap off the weekend matchup on Saturday, with the Golden Flyers hosting at 2 p.m.
