Utica, SUNY Geneseo, Albertus Magnus and Chatham Represented in 2025-26 USCHO Division III Preseason National Men's Poll

NCAA National Finalist Utica University is ranked second nationally, defending UCHC Champion and 2025 NCAA Frozen Four participant SUNY Geneseo is ranked third, and UCHC newcomer Albertus Magnus College and Chatham University are receiving votes in the 2025-26 Men's USCHO.com Preseason Division III national poll, released on Oct. 13, 2025.

The Pioneers open the season at two, after closing the 2024-25 in the same spot after advancing to the NCAA Division III Championship game for the first time in program history. Utica wrapped up last season with a 24-5-2 record, while advancing to the UCHC Championship game for the eighth time in eight seasons. The Pioneers, who were the UCHC regular season champs, defeated St. Norbert and Curry College in the NCAA Tournament before taking eventual champion Hobart to double overtime in the championship.

SUNY Geneseo starts the season ranked third nationally after finishing the 2024-25 season with a 24-5-1 record, while winning the UCHC Championship in its first season as a league member, while advancing to the NCAA National Semifinals. The Knights, who finished the 2024-25 season ranked ninth nationally, defeated Stevenson University and Aurora University in the NCAA Tournament before falling Hobart, 2-1 in the NCAA Semifinal.

Albertus Magnus is receiving four votes in the 2025-26 USCHO.com preseason poll. The Falcons finished with 12 wins last season, including a 3-2 win against three-time defending national champion Hobart College on Jan. 31, 2025.

Chatham is receiving one vote in the preseason poll. The Cougars won 10 games last season and advanced to the UCHC Semifinals. 

Regular season play for the 2025-26 season begins on Oct. 31. League play begins the weekend of Nov. 14-15. The 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championship is to be played at Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium March 27-29.

ABOUT THE UNITED COLLEGIATE HOCKEY CONFERENCE
The United Collegiate Hockey Conference provides a competitive environment and structure for NCAA Division III men's and women's ice hockey in the Eastern United States. The UCHC will enter its ninth season in 2025-26 with original member Elmira College returning, along with newcomers Albertus Magnus College, Hilbert College, and St. John Fisher University joining second-year members SUNY Brockport and SUNY Geneseo, in addition to founding members Chatham University, Manhattanville University, Nazareth University and Utica University.
