Amy Laskowski Nets Four Goals As No. 5 Nazareth Cruises Past St. John Fisher

ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 5 ranked Nazareth women's hockey team improved to 8-0 on the season on Saturday, blanking St. John Fisher 6-0 in the second leg of the home-and-home matchup. Sophomore Amy Laskowski scored the first four goals for Nazareth, tying the program record for most goals in a game. The Golden Flyers move to 4-0 in UCHC play, while the Cardinals drop to 2-5-1 overall and 0-3-1 in league play.

How it Happened:
  • After the Golden Flyers netted three goals in a 3-2 win over Fisher on Friday night, they doubled that output on Saturday at the Cardinals home rink.
  • Laskowski started the scoring for Nazareth 7:42 in to the game with assists to Nikki Sharp and Brooke Judkiewicz.
  • She was at it again six minutes later, once again from Sharp and Mia Abruzzese.
  • The Golden Flyers did the rest of their damage in the second period, scoring four more goals.
  • Laskowski netted a powerplay goal from Ave Meteyer just over five minutes in and then added another power play goal near the midway point from Judkiewicz and Ella Konrad.
  • Just :49 seconds after Laskowski's fourth goal, Abby Flanagan netted her first of the year from Charlotte Crudale.
  • Nazareth's final goal came from Ella Mannila.
Game Notes
  • Laskwoski's four goals ties the previous record holders of Madison Nichols vs Neumann on 1/25/20 and Ally Watrous vs King's on 2/5/22. 
  • Laskowski now has 12 goals on the season after collecting 16 in her freshman campaign.
  • Mia Gonsalves made 14 saves in the win.
