ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College women's ice hockey team roll to its first 3-0 start since the 2022-23 season after a late surge against the SUNY Potsdam Bears. Two goals from Anna Lugge '27 and a goal from Amber Meluzio '29 propelled Soaring Eagles to a 3-1 victory.

- Sara Sevcikova '28 worked tirelessly between the pipes gloving five to hold the Bears to one goal.
- In the final minute of the second period, Elmira tied the match at one apiece with a goal from Meluzio on an even playing field.
- In a power play opportunity, Lugge netted her first of two in the eleventh minute of play to give the Soaring Eagles a 2-1 opportunity.
- Lugge's second goal came minutes later, boosting Elmira past the Bears for a 3-1 lead.
- Sevcikova recorded her third win between the pipes, stopping seven shots in the match.
- Elmira outshout SUNY Potsdam every period, but most notably in the third period 13-0.
