HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Falcons struck first halfway through the first period, as Connor Bertamini (Calgary, Alberta) carried the puck end-to-end and fired a shot on Raiders goaltender, Matt Dore. Sullivan capitalized on the rebound at the 9:29 mark for his second goal of the season, giving the Falcons the 1-0 lead.
  • Just 46 seconds into the second period, Albertus added to its lead as Sam Witt (Calgary, Alberta) took a shot on goal that rebounded off Dore. Kindrachuk was there to bury the rebound, making it a 2-0 game.
  • The Falcons struck again two minutes later as Keese recovered the puck in the neutral zone and slotted a pass between two Rivier defenders, finding Sullivan who was able to finish his breakaway opportunity for his second goal of the game, making it 3-0.
  • Just a minute later, William Lavigne (Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Québec) connected with Maksim Tseglnik (Moscow, Russia), who sent a cross-ice pass to Keese. Keese buried a wrist shot to the back of the net at the 3:56 mark, extending the lead to 4-0.
  • Kindrachuk netted his second goal of the game at the 6:00 mark after collecting a rebound off a shot from Sullivan. He carried the puck across the zone and found an opening before firing it home, extending the lead to 5-0.
  • In the third period, the Falcons scored a goal with a man down as Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.) recovered the puck in the defensive zone and began his attack down the ice, where he found Kirwin, who was able to finish for the sixth and final goal of the game for the Falcons.
  • For Rivier, their two goals came in the third period. Brady Bomal was able to find teammate Payton Kender on a 5-on-4 to notch one past Falcon's goaltender Jackson for the Raider's first goal of the game.
  • For their second goal, Damon Kiyawasew recovered the puck in the Raider's defensive zone, carried it up the ice, and was able to finish past Jackson on a 5-on-3.
