ROCHESTER, NY – The fifth-ranked Nazareth women's hockey squad had a strong output on Friday afternoon, blanking Trinity (Conn.) 3-0 at Tim Horton's Iceplex behind goals from Meredith Boettcher, Brooke Judkiewicz, and Amy Laskowski. Nazareth improves to 9-0 on the season, while Trinity drops to 1-5 on the year.
How it Happened:
- Nazareth scored on its first shot of the game just 16 seconds in, as Judkiewicz fed Boettcher for a two-on-one goal. Ella Konrad picked up an assist on the play.
- A power play opportunity late in the period was converted by Nazareth as Judkeiwicz tapped in a beautiful pass from Ave Meteyer. Konrad picked up her second assist of the day.
- It was 2-0 after one period.
- No goals were scored in the second period, as the Golden Flyers were 0-for-3 on the power play, and the Bantams 0-1.
- Laskowski rocked the pipe eight minutes in.
- Laskowski scored her team-leading 13th goal of the season with just over five minutes left in the game, roofing a wrist shot top shelf. Judkiewicz and Nikki Sharp picked up assists on the play.
- Mia Gonsalves made 16 saves in the win.
Game Notes:
- It was the second-ever meeting between the two squads with Nazareth winning at Trinity 2-1 in 2024.
- Mia Gonsalves recorded her third career shutout.
- Laskowski has recorded at least a point in each of the last five games (10G, 2A).
- Nazareth has outscored opponents 40-7 this season.
