- Albertus responded in the second period as Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.) connected with Dann at center ice. Dann skated forward, firing a laser of a shot past Chatham goaltender, Cameron Kuntar to equalize the game at the 3:54 mark.
- The Falcons struck again less than two minutes later at the 5:22 mark. William Lavigne (Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Québec) carried the puck out of the defensive zone and connected with Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta), who threaded a pass to his brother, Zeth Kindrachuk, where he slipped into perfect position and beat Kuntar with a backhand finish, putting Albertus ahead 2–1.
- The Cougars put one back as Caden Pendo sent a pass from behind the net to teammate Charlie Smith, who put away the 2-2 equalizer.
- With just 21 seconds remaining in the second period, Kyle Cupolo (Waterloo, Ontario) sent a pass from the defensive zone through to Zeth Kindrachuk, who managed another backhand finish to score his second of the game, making it 3-2.
- The Falcons extended their lead in the third period at the 7:38 mark, when Maksim Tsegelnik (Moscow, Russia) took a shot that deflected off Kuntar but was recovered by Barrasso, who buried it to seal the win over the Cougars.
