Four UCHC Student-Athletes Named 2024-25 CCM/AHCA Women’s Division III All-Americans

Jordan Kowalski and Angela Hawthorne of Utica University and Nazareth University standouts  Julia Holmes and Amy Laskowski were named CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Division III East All-Americans on Thursday, March 27.
 
Kowalski was a second team selection, while Hawthorne, Holmes and Laskowski were third team picks. Holmes was named All-American for the third time in her career, while Hawthorne garnered her second All-American accolade.
 
Kowalski, a senior forward from Chicopee, MA, finished with 13 goals on the season. She led the league with four game-winning goals and three hat-tricks and tied for the league lead with four power-play goals. She scored seven goals in 12 UCHC regular season contests. Kowalski who was named the 2024-25 UCHC Co-Player of the Year was also named a finalist for the Laura Hurd award as Division III National Player of the Year.
 
Hawthorne was named the UCHC Goaltender of the Year for the third time in her career in 2025 and picked up her second All-American honor. A native of Santa Clara, CA, Hawthorne finished 17-8-0 on the season with a 1.21 goals against average and league-best .953 save percentage with seven shutouts. In league play, Hawthorne went 9-3-0 with a 0.90 goals against average and .955 save percentage. Hawthorne played in 102 career games, finishing 69-18-5 with a 1.17 goals against average, .949 save percentage and 24 career shutouts. She wrapped up her stellar career as the UCHC’s career leader in wins and minutes played, second in shutouts and among the top-five in goals against average and save percentage.
 
Holmes, a native of Reading, MA, earned her third straight All-UCHC first team accolade and third consecutive All-American nod in 2023-24. Holmes, the 2022-23 UCHC Defensive Player of the Year, finished the 2024-25 season with 19 points on six goals and 13 assists in 29 games, while playing at a plus-23 clip. Holmes, a two-time UCHC Championship All-Tournament Team selection, scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to lead Nazareth to the 2023 UCHC Championship and helped lead the Golden Flyers to four consecutive league titles. She recorded 87 points on 23 goals and 64 assists in 126 career games, while leading Nazareth to a 100-23-3 record.
 
Laskowski, first year forward, enjoyed a tremendous debut for the Golden Flyers, leading the UCHC in scoring with 30 points on 16 goals and 14 assists and was plus-26 in 29 games. Laskowski scored the game-winning goal, added an empty-netter and dished out an assist in Nazareth's most recent game, a 4-2 win over No. 9 Endicott in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Tournament on March 15.

Laskowski, a native of Clarendon Hills, IL, is led the league in scoring during league play with 15 points on seven goals and eight assists. Laskowski excelled over the second half of the season, tallying 10 goals and 18 points over a 10-game stretch from Jan. 21 to Feb. 21. Laskowski became Nazareth’s first UCHC Player and Rookie of the Year in program history. She also became the first player in league history to be named Player and Rookie of the Year in the same season and along with Kowalski, was a finalist for the Laura Hurd award as Division III National Player of the Year.

ABOUT THE UNITED COLLEGIATE HOCKEY CONFERENCE
The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is a collaborative effort to provide a competitive environment and structure for NCAA Division III men's and women's ice hockey in the Eastern United States.
