No. 4 Nazareth Tops Albertus Magnus, 5-1 to Stay Unbeaten

ROCHESTER, NY - First period goals from Allie Zack, Charlotte Crudale, and Brooke Judkiewicz helped Nazareth cruise to a 5-1 victory over Albertus Magnus on Friday night. The Golden Flyers keep their undefeated season alive, improving to 23-0-1. 
 
How It Happened:
  • The Golden Flyers got going early, scoring just over two minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Brooke Judkiewicz won the offensive zone faceoff back to Ella Konrad who set up Allie Zack for a one timer that found the back of the net.
  • About two minutes later, Charlotte Crudale would score to make it 2-0 Golden Flyers. Nikki Sharp and Allie Zack earned the assists on the play.
  • Seven minutes later, Brooke Judkiewicz deflected a point shot from Allie Zack to extend the lead to 3-0. 
  • Nazareth led in shots after the first period, 14-9.
  • Early into the second, Albertus Magnus would cut the Nazareth lead to 3-1, scoring off a scrum in front of the net. 
  • With three minutes remaining, Nazareth would restore their three goal lead as Logan Marchese stole the puck and tucked the breakaway on her backhand. 
  • The shot total after two periods was 27-13, in favor of the Golden Flyers.
  • After a strong defensive effort in the third period, Nikki Sharp would make it 5-1 late in the period to secure the Golden Flyer victory. Amy Laskowski and Mia Abruzzese picked up the assists on the play. 
  • Nazareth outshot Albertus, 42-14.
