NEW HAVEN, CONN. - Kalyn Reynolds (Newington, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal as the Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team defeated St. John Fisher, 3-2 in a thrilling double-overtime victory on Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) tournament at Ralph Walker Rink for the program's first ever win in a conference tournament.
Kurtia Yetman (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and Briony Retasket (Beaverton, Ore.) also added a goal.
Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) stopped 40 of the 42 shots she faced on the evening.
Albertus, seeded fourth, will head to top seed Nazareth in the UCHC semifinals on Saturday Feb. 28 for a 2 p.m. start.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. John Fisher opened the scoring, as Keira Reckley recieved a centering pass, putting one past Johnson at the 12:18 mark.
- Yetman responded immediately with a goal at the 13:31 mark, as she recieved a centering pass from Kayla Clark (Avon, Conn.) on just their second shot of the game.
- The Cardinals took the lead once again as Ellie Prantner buried a rebound to make it a 2-1 game at the 16:05 mark.
- While on the penalty kill in the second period, Retasket evened the game at 2-2 with her first goal of the season as she stole the puck in the neutral zone, setting herself up for a one-on-one opportunity, where she put it past Cardinal goaltender, Brynn Bacak for the shorthanded goal.
- The game remained scoreless in the third period, and in the first overtime.
- As the game headed into double-overtime, Molly Martin (Buffalo, N.Y.) threaded a pass between two defenders to Reynolds, who fired a shot past Bacak, netting the game-winner at the 1:51 mark of the period.
