The UCHC announced its 2025-26 Men’s Championship All-Tournament Team following the league’s title game on Saturday, March 7. Junior forward Nicholas Rogers of top-seed Utica University was named the UCHC Tournament Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Pioneers to their fourth league title in the last five seasons and sixth UCHC crown overall.
Rogers scored the game-winning goal with 5:46 left in regulation on a sensational individual effort that broke a 1-1 tie and catapaulted Utica to the 4-1 title game over No. 2 seed SUNY Geneseo. Rogers picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone, skated into the Geneseo end of the ice with a full head of steam, around a defender and then darted to the outside, faking a shot before scoring on a wrap-around.
Utica goaltender Kyle Curtin, along with defenseman Alex German and forwards John Gutt and Aiden Hughes earned All-Tournament Team honors. Curtin made 29 saves on 31 shots in the two tournament games and recorded a 1.00 goals agianst average. German had two assists and was plus-3 in the two tournament games, while Gutt had a goal in each tourney game and went 21-of-27 on face-offs. Hughes led Utica with four points on three goals and an assist in the two UCHC Tournament contests. He had two goals and an assist against Nazareth and added a key insurance goal against Geneseo.
Defenseman Dakota Zarudny and forward Filip Wiberg of runner-up SUNY Geneseo were also named to the All-Tournament Team. Zarudny had a goal and an assist and was plus-3 in the 7-5 semifinal win over Chatham, while Wiberg, the 2025 UCHC Championship Most Valuable Player, scored Geneseo's goal in the championship game, added two assists in the semifinal win over Chatham and won 33 face-offs in the two games.
