GENESEO, NY - The SUNY Geneseo Men's Hockey team cruised past Manhattanvill in the first matchup of the weekend, winning 7-2. The Ice Knights improved to (4-0) on the season (3-0) in UCHC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

First-year forward Gabriel LaFlamme found sophomore forward Luke Panchisin to extend the Ice Knights' lead to two 9:00 into the first period. Four minutes after Panchisins goal, senior forward Cooper Fensterstock buried the puck into the net to score 3-0, assisted by Panchisin and LaFlamme.

Geneseo started the second period where they left off in the first. Sophomore forward Filip Wiberg tipped junior forward Alex Dameskis shot past the Manhattanville goaltender on a powerplay 2:39 into the second, Panchisin with the secondary assist on the play. Manhattanville scored 12:01 into the second, bringing a 4-1 Ice Knight lead into the 3rd period.
