PITTSBURGH, PA - The Geneseo Ice Knights took down the Chatham Cougars in their first conference match of the season 5-1. The team now improves to 2-0-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Knights came out hot in the first period, going up 3-0 in the first 20 minutes. Tommy Winn struck first at 3:28 from the blue, with assists from Henri Spoof and Carter Diceman. Three minutes later, Stefan Miklakos scored the second goal of the night unassisted. Geneseo finished strong with a power-play goal from Filip Wiberg, who stuck it in past the blue line. Alex Dameski and Diarmad DiMurro were on the assist.

Geneseo answered back not even two minutes later to make the score 4-1. Sterling Wolters broke up the play in Geneseo end and passed to Jack McDonald at the blue. He fed Miklakos who took it down the ice and found the back of the net. The Knights finished the game with an empty-netter, making the final score of the game 5-1.
