How It's Seeded
The tournaments will be seeded using points percentage, with built-in safeguards also employed, to adjust seedings in the event a team is unable to play at least 50 percent of its games. Points percentage is being utilized to account, at least in part, to the unbalanced schedules due to cancellations.

Points percentage is defined as the percentage of points a team has earned, relative to the amount it could have earned in the games it has played. For example, if a team has three regulation wins in four games, it would have nine points out of the twelve available, and thus would have a points percentage of .750.

Pairings will also be subject to adjustment so that quarter and semi-final competition takes travel distance into consideration.

MEN'S TIEBREAKERS
League points will determine standings. In the instance of a tie, the tiebreakers below (listed in order of application) will be used to determine seeding:

  1. Head to head results (if 3 or more teams are tied, take the overall winning percentage against all other tied teams)
  2. Number of league wins
  3. The record against the highest seeded team, in descending order (top to bottom), when applicable (ex: The win/tie versus the #1 team compared to the win/tie versus the #2 team is weighted heavier. If the same, proceed to #3, #4, and so on.
  4. Number of league regulation wins
  5. Least goals allowed in league play
  6. Comparison of overall winning percentage against each common non-conference opponent
  7. Coin Toss (League office will determine which team has heads and which team has tails)
  8. In the case of ties among three or more institutions, the criteria will be used in order until a team(s) is separated from the pack. At that point, the committee returns to the first criteria and begins anew to break the “new” tie. In other words, when a four-way tie becomes a three-way tie, the committee treats the three-way tie as a “new” tie and starts over with the first criteria.
