Arcadia Picks Up First Home Win in Program History, Prevailing in OT Thriller Over SUNY Canton

COLMAR, PA - The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team won a 4-3 overtime thriller over SUNY Canton on Friday night inside Hatfield Ice Arena. This is the first home win for the Knights in program history.  

First-year defenseman Justin Song ended the game in overtime as he converted on a 2-on-1, scoring just 35 seconds into the extra period.  

Goaltender Fletcher Bolda picked up his second win of the season with a 29 save effort and a .906 save percentage.  
 

ARCADIA 4, SUNY CANTON 3 (F/OT) 
HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Both teams generated a good number of shots in the opening period, but the score was tied at zero after the opening 20 minutes.  

  • SUNY Canton scored the lone goal of the second period as the Roos scored with less than four minutes remaining in the middle period.  

  • A total of five goals were scored in the third period, including three in the span of a minute and 16 seconds. Pallen Brooks tied the game at one for Arcadia with his first career goal. SUNY Canton then took a 2-1 lead, but Dylan Infantino scored the first goal of his career to tie the game at two. The Roos scored just over a minute later to take a 3-2 lead. Dylan Florit scored his third goal of the season with just 32 seconds left in the game to tie the game at three.  

  • Song ended the game in overtime on his first career goal to give the Knights a 4-3 victory.
