UCHC Weekly Awards – January 12, 2026

The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is pleased to announce its weekly award winners, released on January 12, 2026, for games played from January 5 – January 11. The UCHC weekly awards program highlights the top performances from around the conference over each week of the regular season. It is the eighth UCHC weekly honors release of the 2025-26 season. 

UCHC CO-MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Nick Cyprian, Chatham, Sr., F, Alejo, TX
Cyprian led the Cougars to two lopsided victories over Hiram last weekend, recording six points on five goals and an assist, while recording a plus-7 rating. He led the Cougars' offense on Friday, completing the hat trick in the decisive win. In game 2, he added another three points on two goals and an assist, while recording a plus-5 rating. He also became the first player in Chatham men’s hockey program history to surpass 100 career points, as he now has 101 points (40 goals, 61 points) in 92 career games. 
 
UCHC CO-MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – John Gutt, Utica, Sr., F, Middletown, NJ

Gutt continued his scorching hot scoring output with three points on two goals and an assist in a key 5-1 UCHC victory over Nazareth on Saturday. He scored the game’s first goal, and eventually the game-winning score. Gutt also assisted the fifth goal to cement the substantial victory. Gutt’s opening goal was scored shorthanded, while his second, game-winning goal was netted on the power play. He also won 11 faceoffs on the night, completing an outstanding performance that saw him raise his point total to five over the past two matchups, including a pair of goals in each contest. It is Gutt’s second weekly accolade of the season.

UCHC WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Klara Miuller, Chatham, So., F, Klapedia, Lithuania
Miuller jump-started the Cougars' offense, completing her first career hat trick. She would also record an assist on the game-tying goal to help force overtime and clinch a point for the Cougars in a 4-4 tie at Trine University on Saturday. She was also plus-3 in the contest. 
 
UCHC MEN’S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – David Filak, SUNY Brockport, Jr., G, Northville, MI
Filak stopped 28-of-30 shots in leading SUNY Brockport to a come-from-behind 5-2 win at UCHC foe Elmira on Saturday. After allowed two goals on the first 12 shots he faced, Filak settled down and stopped the final 18 shots on goals over the final 36:16 in earning his fourth win of the season.
 
UCHC WOMEN’S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Cimorelli, Manhattanville, So., G, West Deptford, NJ
Cimorelli stopped 85-of-91 shots for a .934 save percentage in a weekend series at SUNY Cortland, who is receiving votes in the USCHO.com Division III Women’s Ice Hockey national poll. She made 44 saves on 47 shots in Friday's contest ahead of 41 more stops in Saturday's rematch. She pushed her season save total to 391 with a .920 save percentage on the season. It is Cimorelli’s third UCHC weekly honor of the season.
 
UCHC MEN’S CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Kowin Belsterling, Chatham, Fr., F, Harmony, PA
Belsterling tallied six points on two goals and four assists and was plus-6, as the Cougars scored 28 goals in a weekend sweep at Hiram. On Friday, he tied a Chatham single-game program record, with five points on a goal and four assists (Chatham single-game mark). He added his second goal and sixth point of the weekend on Saturday. 
 
UCHC MEN’S CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Sam Lozinski, Albertus Magnus, Fr., F, Calgary, Alberta
Lozinski scored his irst three collegiate goals during the week, including two against Post University in a 3-2 win Friday. His first ever goal came shorthanded. On Saturday, he added his third goal of the weekend in a 4-3 overtime victory over Connecticut College.
 
UCHC WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Mia Gonsalves, Nazareth, Fr., G, Boston, MA

Gonsalves helped lead No. 5 Nazareth to a pair of wins during the week, 6-2 over Salve Regina University on Monday and 3-2 at William Smith on Friday. She stopped 19-of-21 shots Monday and 14 shots on Friday to improve to 14-0-0 this season. It is Gonsalves’ second UCHC weekly honor of the season.
