The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is pleased to announce its weekly award winners, released on February 23, 2026, for games played from February 16 – February 22. The UCHC weekly awards program highlights the top performances from around the conference over each week of the regular season. It is the 14th and final UCHC weekly honors release of the 2025-26 season.
UCHC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Drake Morse, Utica, Jr., F, Grand Rapids, MI
Morse capped off a spectacular regular season with six points on four goals and two assists, as the Pioneers picked up five key UCHC points against Chatham University, clinching their 10th straight conference regular season title. The Utica captain poured in in four goals and added an assist in Saturday’s 10-3 win, becoming just the 10th player in program history to notch four goals in a single outing. Morse’s massive weekend upped his totals to 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points in 2025-26.
UCHC WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cecelia Stewart, St. John Fisher, Fr., F, Buffalo, NY
Stewart helped lead the Cardinals a pair of wins over the weekend on home ice against Hilbert College, tallying four points on three goals and an assist while recording a plus-5 rating. On Friday, she recorded three points on two goals and one assist, finishing the game plus-four in an 8-0 win. On Saturday, she recorded another goal in a 9-1 victory.
UCHC MEN’S CO-GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – David Filak, SUNY Brockport, Jr., G, Northville, MI
In a historic 3-2 win at No. 10 SUNY Geneseo on Friday, Filak helped secure one of Brockport's biggest wins in program history. Filak finished Friday's contest with a career high of 55 saves, allowing just two goals in a tremendous outing in the Brockport win. He made 17 saves in each of the first two periods and 21 in the third period. Filak is now a two-time UCHC Goaltender of the Week in 2025-26.
UCHC MEN’S CO-GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – Chace Hale, Albertus Magnus, So., G, Pittsburgh, PA
Hale recorded the shutout in Albertus Magnus’ regular season finale on Saturday, stopping all 40 shots he faced in a 2-0 home win over Nazareth. He stopped 21 first period shots, seven in the middle frame and 12 in the third period.
UCHC WOMEN’S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Last, Elmira, So., G, Sydney Australia
Last was a brick wall between the pipes this past weekend for the Manhattanville series. Last recorded 32 saves on the weekend, recording a pair of 16-save shutouts, as Elmira earned 3-0 and 7-0 road wins over the Valiants to wrap up the regular season. It is her second E8 weekly honor of the season.
UCHC MEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Matthew Lee, SUNY Brockport, Fr., F, Fort Erie, Ontario
In a 3-2 upset win at No. 10 Geneseo, Lee would lead the Brockport scoring effort, netting two goals, including the game winner, to guide Brockport to the key road victory. Lee added an assist on Saturday for a three-point weekend, as Brockport's fell 5-2 on home ice to the Knights.
UCHC WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Katie Sheahan, Utica, Fr., G, Oak Lawn, IL/Cambridge Academy
Sheahan and the Pioneers traveled for a two-game road set at Chatham University to wrap up the regular season slate for both teams. Needing two regulation wins to climb in postseason seeding, Sheahan did her part, saving all but one shot she faced in her 120 minutes of play, finishing with a .970 save percentage through the two contests. In the first matchup, a 2-0 victory, the first-year netminder turned away all 18 shots to earn her second-straight shutout, and third of the season. The following day, she stopped 14 shots in a 3-1 win that helped propel the Pioneers into the No. 3 seed of the UCHC Championship Tournament. It is her third UCHC weekly accolade.
