Rochester, NY- With the inaugural season just weeks away, the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) is pleased to announce the launch of its website. Presented in conjunction with Sidearm Sports, the industry leader in collegiate athletic website management, the online home of NCAA hockey’s newest conference will be located at TheUCHC.com beginning on Wednesday.
“On the cusp of our inaugural season, we are thrilled to launch our first class website,” says UCHC Commissioner Chuck Mitrano. “It’s comprehensive, user friendly and the hub for all things UCHC. The site will also include a wealth of unique content that compliments our social media presence.”
The new platform will provide a comprehensive source for information related to the conference and its 11 member athletic programs, while also serving to grow an evolving brand in college hockey. Throughout this season, fans will get to witness the league's growth process firsthand while following their favorite teams at TheUCHC.com. The site will house features such as exclusive interviews, podcasts, feature stories, game recaps, league standings, postseason information, and award winners. All of those items will aid the UCHC and its member institutions in telling the stories of the hundreds of exceptional student athletes who call the league home.
The site will also provide fans with guidance to the existing platforms around the league for live coverage, including video, and easy access to coverage from each member institution as their own platforms grow. Five UCHC member schools recently positioned themselves on the cutting edge by offering their home webcasts on television connected devices such as the Roku and AppleTV, providing a more adaptable experience that is fan friendly and meets viewers on their terms.
The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is a collaborative effort between eleven institutions to provide a competitive environment and structure for NCAA Division III men's and women's ice hockey in the Eastern United States. Our membership encompasses a wide geographic area spanning from Central and Western New York, to the greater Pittsburgh and Baltimore areas. In its inaugural season, the UCHC will incorporate the efforts of ice hockey student-athletes from Chatham University, Elmira College, King's College, Lebanon Valley College, Manhattanville College, Nazareth College, Neumann University, Stevenson University, Utica College, and William Smith College into their strong, but evolving membership that strives for on-ice excellence while also preparing student athletes for their off-ice futures. In addition, Wilkes University is set to begin men's and women's play in the fall of 2018.
