UCHC Weekly Awards – January 26, 2026

The United Collegiate Hockey Conference is pleased to announce its weekly award winners, released on January 26, 2026, for games played from January 19 – January 25. The UCHC weekly awards program highlights the top performances from around the conference over each week of the regular season. It is the tenth UCHC weekly honors release of the 2025-26 season. 
 
UCHC CO-MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Aidan Hughes, Utica, Jr., F, Mississauga, Ontario
Hughes racked up three goals and an assist over the two-game sweep over Albertus Magnus on Jan. 23-24. Hughes scored one goal and procured one assist in Friday’s 10-4 win before stamping the sweep with the final two goals in Saturday’s 5-1 win. His contributions helped the Pioneers remain unbeaten in UCHC play, as they have won seven straight games overall.
 
UCHC CO-MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Michael Roby, Chatham, Jr., F, Philadelphia, PA
Roby scored three key goals for the Cougars in a road sweep at UCHC opponent St John Fisher over the weekend. On Friday, he scored a crucial goal to make it 3-0 and give the Cougars breathing room in an eventual 5-1 win. On Saturday, Roby scored Chatham's first two goals of the game as the Cougars earned a 4-2 victory. Roby leads the UCHC with 17 goals and has scored a goal in each of his last seven games. It is his second weekly honor of the season.

UCHC WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Amy Laskowski, Nazareth, So., F, Clarendon Hills, IL
Laskowski led the No. 6 Golden Flyers with five points on three goals and two assists in two wins over Chatham last weekend. On Friday, she netted a goal and added an assist in 6-0 win over Chatham and followed that up less than 24 hours later with two goals and an assist in 7-1 victory over the Cougars Saturday. She leads the league with 19 goals and 31 points in 17 games this season. It is Laskowski’s fourth UCHC weekly honor of 2025-26. 

UCHC MEN’S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – Cameron Kuntar, Chatham, Jr., G, Williamsville, NY
Kuntar helped lead Chatham to a weekend sweep on the road at UCHC opponent St. John Fisher,  recording a 1.50 goals against average and a sparkling .961 save percentage , stopping 73-of-76 shots. On Friday, he made 37 saves on 38 shots, as Chatham pulled away for a 5-1 win. Less than 24 hours later, Kuntar stopped 36-of-38 shots, as the Cougars finished the weekend with a 4-2 win. He currently ranks 1st in the UCHC in goals-against average and 2nd in save-percentage for the season. It is Kuntar’s second weekly honor of the season.
 
UCHC WOMEN’S GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK – Brynn Bacak, St. John Fisher, Fr., G, Williamsville, NY
Bacak enjoyed an outstanding weekend as the Cardinals earned their first two UCHC wins over Manhattanville at the Rochester Ice Center. Bacak made 24 saves in a 3-1 win on Friday night and 26 in a 1-0 victory on Saturday morning as part of her third collegiate shutout. Overall, Bacak stopped 50-of-51 shots over the weekend, resulting in a 0.50 goals against average and a .980 save percentage. It is her fourth UCHC weekly honor of the season.
 
UCHC MEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Stepan Kuznetsov, Utica, Fr., F, Yaroslavl, Russia
Kuznetsov continued to be a point-producing machine this past weekend in the Pioneers’ sweep over Albertus Magnus. He recorded five points on two goals and three assists to move his run to point-scoring streak to six games. With his five-point weekend, Kuznetsov produced points in every matchup since joining the squad over winter break. In his six games donning the moose, Kuznetsov has five goals and six assists, totaling 11 points in just the past month. He also managed to net one of his goals on the power play, contributing to a Pioneers unit that has been hot on the man-advantage as of late. 
 
UCHC WOMEN’S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Keira Reckley, St. John Fisher, Fr., F, Frisco, TX
Reckley had a three-point weekend as St. John Fisher swept Manhattanville at the Rochester Ice Center for its first two UCHC wins. She had two assists and was plus-1 in a 3-1 victory on Friday and accounted for the only goal on Saturday, scoring a short-handed, unassisted tally just 1:21 into the third period as the Cardinals earned a 1-0 win to earn a six-point weekend.
