UCHC Player of the Year Gabrielle Cox Named 2024 All-USCHO Third Team Selection

Forward Gabrielle Cox, a graduate student from Manhattanville College, was named a 2024 United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) third team selection. Previously, Cox was named a finalist for the 2023-24 Laura Hurd Award, given annually to the best NCAA Division III women’s ice hockey player in the country and garnered CCM/AHCA All-American honors.

Cox was named the 2023-24 UCHC Player of the Year after a tremendous season in which she led all UCHC players with 24 goals and added 10 assists for 34 points. Cox is third nationally, averaging 0.96 goals per game and fourth overall with her 24 goals. She tallied five power-play goals, three shorthanded markers (tied for fifth nationally) and five game-winning tallies (tied for fifth nationally).

Cox recorded at least a point in 17 games this season and had 10 multiple-point efforts including a four-goal, five-point effort against Neumann on Feb. 2. Overall, Cox tallied 75 goals and 105 points in 74 career games at Manhattanville after playing two seasons at Division I Mercyhurst University.

She became the first Manhattanville student-athlete to be named the UCHC Player of the Year. Cox was the lone UCHC student-athlete to earn All-USCHO accolades in 2023-24.
